Patterns That Will Make You Say: "Oh My God, I Must Have It, Please Take My Money"
For the sewing, knitting and crochet peeps who want pattern inspo and links 🔗 and maybe a bit of openness and contemplation
Usually I’d say, “wow, what a dramatic title,” and it is… but honestly… It’s the most accurate title I could have written. The moment I saw these patterns, my money was practically BEGGING me to spend it.
lol
*PSA, I know pattern buying is also a hobby, which is why my number one advice for purchasing patterns (fabric and yarn as well) is to make sure it fits into your wardrobe beforehand. I no longer buy for the sake of buying, so perhaps keep that in mind for yourself as well :P
One other thing I would like to note:
My plan currently is to buy the patterns as I want to use them and then write an article for each one to share the creation process, my thoughts, and images of the outcome. If you follow me on Instagram, you will see a video version of the process, but here it will be written with more details, thoughts and with photos. Consider subscribing for updates!
Okay, moving on… (• ε •)
Below you will find sewing, knitting, and crochet patterns that I am stoked about. *Please vet for yourself if you want to buy!* I will also share my general thoughts about each pattern and why I’m excited about them, and hopefully, you will get inspo from this or find patterns you didn’t previously know about.
On we go :D
Sewing Patterns
Copenhagen Skirt by puff_and_pencil
The COPENHAGEN skirt is a low-waisted wrap skirt with two ties at the front side. The skirt features a wide waistband and an asymmetric front overlap. It fastens with a combination of a hidden button on one side and the two ties on the other side. The skirt is without lining.
Starting with the Copenhagen Skirt by Puff and Pencil: I find this skirt SO CUTE. Over the last few years, I’ve come to realize that I love ties and bows, and you’re giving me an asymmetrical skirt with TWO SETS OF THEM? I want it now, pls take my money!!! (lol).
My interest is always immediately piqued the moment I spot a bow or a tie. And I can honestly say that this pattern has been living “very lavishly” in my brain, as it’s been on my mind for months!!
I have also had skirts and dresses on the brain a lot lately, and this is definitely in my top 5 queue of sewing patterns to make next. I actually bought it the other day and am already going through my stash to choose fabric!! Stay tuned for another article going through the creation process:)Hangaround Bag by puff_and_pencil
Puff and Pencil is offering this sewing pattern for (free), as they put it: "As a tribute to all creative souls..."
While on the topic of ties/bows, it would be a crime not to mention this cutie FREE bag! I love the simplicity and style of this bag. It’s a great size, it’s only made up of six pieces I believe, which means it could be a QUICK sew and great for scrap busting!
And I just love how it looks in a dark denim and how creative you can get with it.The Bella Dress & Top by lizziedesignstudio
The Bella Dress is a perfect blend of elegance and ease, designed to be a timeless statement piece in your wardrobe. Featuring a dropped shoulder and side gathering, this dress mimics the look of a bias cut without the extra effort. The optional slit adds a touch of allure, while the invisible side zipper ensures a sleek silhouette.
I am most interested in the top version of this, but the dress is lovely as well!
I’ve seen several makers choose cotton or other non-satin woven fabrics and that is what excites me most! Check out siri_kate version here. This top first came on my radar because of her ❤︎ and I fell in love with it when I met up with my sewing friend, Natsumi ❤︎ craftygr, and she was wearing hers so effortlessly, and I knew I needed to make one!
You can find even more examples of the dress and top here. I just love how if made in a cotton or linen or other semi-structured woven, it could be worn dressed up or down. Easy and comfortable to wear, but still very chic.
I’m young, but the older I get, the more I desperately want comfort whilst SLAYING.A subtle but striking detail, the front shoulder gathering adds a touch of sophistication to your top. It's a design feature that sets this pattern apart and gives your creation an air of refinement. The slashed neckline adds a hint of drama and modernity, perfectly complementing the asymmetrical design.
So I also love asymmetry and an elevated basic! I’m really starting to figure out what I’m interested in when it comes to patterns… and it only took 6+ years and endless experimenting (ᵕ—ᴗ—)
And the Lenne Top is definitely one I am loving! It seems very easy to wear while also delivering elegance. Check out the different versions that Lore made, and you will see just how adaptable this pattern can be depending on what fabric you use.
I want ease of wearing while also looking GOOD and this pattern really delivers on that. You can wear this to go out to dinner, drinks, to work, as a wedding guest dress if the right fabric is chosen or really just to exist in wherever.
I want patterns that are easy to exist in… you know? No fuss!Humla Romper by paradisepatterns
The Humla Romper is the perfect piece to wear on a hot summer day and looks amazing on both pregnant and non-pregnant people. Upon first glance, it looks like a short dress, but the fact that it is a romper makes it that much more comfortable to wear, no risk of flashing anyone! It has generous ease and feels so airy, like nothing is touching you!
Speaking of EASY TO EXIST IN!!! I mean, c’mon! It cannot get any easier than this, unless you’re just nude lol.
I have to admit, I’m a hard-core fan of anything Sanna, paradisepatterns, puts out. Every pattern I’ve made of hers is easy to put together, easy to wear and her instructions are a dream to follow.
She’s also just a very lovely human and is gifted at what she does.
When I saw she was designing this romper, I knew I HAD to have it! Not only is it cute, but it also gives a lot of flexibility with the elastic channel and its loose fit. If you have a pregnant belly, a food belly, an endo belly ❤︎, a big belly, a small belly, any kind of belly, you will have space to exist!
And at this point in my life, I want to exist at any stage that my body is in, and feel good and comfortable, and I hope that for you as well ❤︎❤︎Sourdough Pants by sewbakemake (Upcoming)
The bottoms are a basic elastic waist wide leg, pant and short pattern. View A features drawstrings that tie at the sides of the waist, inseam pockets and a deep 6 inch hem, View B features slash pockets and a 2 inch hem.
Another pattern that I am excited about, which is an upcoming pattern, is the Sourdough pants by Sew Bake Make.
I’ve been thinking about a pair of silk pants in black with an elasticated waist for SO LONG. I’ve realized one of the main things missing from my wardrobe is a very comfortable pair of black pants that can be worn dressed up or down.
I work from home, so having a nice pair of pants that I can wear all day sitting at my desk, and that with a change of a top can be worn out and about?! Count me in.
That’s why I was so excited when Candice first showed off these pants on her story because I was like “WAIT, how did she know this is exactly what I’ve been thinking about making?!” The timing of patternmakers & designers really is top tier.
According to her post here, testing was planned to take place from June 16-30, which means that depending on when you are reading this, it might be out, or out soon!Solig Dress by Paradise Patterns (Upcoming)
A cute mini dress with bust darts and a tie feature at the back Another upcoming pattern that I am really excited for is the Solig Dress by Paradise Patterns that is currently still in testing (as of 07/04/25). This is a simple yet very cute design, and again as mentioned, I LOVE TIES. I will die on that hill lol.
I honestly don’t know what’s with my tie obsession or when it began and I hope it never ends!
I think the dress speaks for itself!! It seems so easy to wear, quick to make and there are some cute ways it can be styled. I’m really looking forward to this one!Anthea Blose by annaallenclothing
The Anthea is a dartless blouse and dress pattern with puffed sleeves. All views button up the front with a fold-over placket and bias faced neckline.
Next is the Anthea Blouse… when I first saw this top, it kind of threw me for a curveball. I can’t say I would have been interested in this style a few years ago, but now? Now I’m interested, and I was both excited about that and confused. Mostly because I am learning in real-time that my style is changing.
It’s confusing because I can’t say I really know with certainty what my style is anymore? I feel like I am in a state of metamorphosis and I get to discover a new side to my fashion interests, but even deeper than that, I get to figure out what truly makes me feel beautiful, at ease and like myself. That’s what I am truly after. And I am curious what I will find as I continue along.
On a random note, I used to catch butterflies as a child, so this feels sort of serendipitous, or something like that, being that I am now in my own state of change.
As for making the top, I can already see myself making a black and white version of this. This top feels like it’s easy to wear while also adding interest to a simple pair of pants. You can look put together, but still be very comfortable… are you getting what I’m after?! :PCeline Blouse by silversagpatterns
The Celine Blouse is a romantic, vintage-inspired design with a soft, modern feel. It features a deep round neckline finished with a delicate ruffle and tie, gentle gathers at the front and back, and short puffed sleeves that add light volume.
Next is the Celine Blouse. Similar to the Anthea Blouse, I was thrown for… half a curveball this time... Not a full one, because this top has TIES AND RUFFLES and I am a certified hoe for both ties and ruffles. They’re just so playful and fun, which I think is representative of my personality. But the reason it is a half curveball is because, again, this isn’t my “usual” style, but I think I want it to be! Or at least I want it to be worked into my style.
I do wonder, however, how much of my interest in new styles can be attributed to influence and suggestion though… but I would like to think it can at minimum be suggestion as well as personal curiosity.
I don’t actually know if this type of top suits me, but I would like to find out because I think it’s fun! And again, it looks damn comfy.
Maybe what I really want is comfort? And of all of the things going on in the world, it seems like comfort is, at best, inconsistent but present, if you’re lucky, non-existent if you’re not. And that breaks me, I can’t lie, seeing everything that is currently happening in the world. BUT we are not helpless and I’ll be damned if I ever let anyone make me feel that way!
SO, if I can find comfort in something as small as a cute top that I get the privilege of making with my hands, I’ll take it… for now.
Now let’s check out some knitting patterns (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
Knitting Patterns
The Armour Top is a versatile spin on the classic ribbed top. There are multiple ways to work this pattern, making it wearable throughout the seasons. It is knitted top-down in an overall 2x2 rib stitch with double-knit armhole edges to finish.
“DAMN THIS IS COOL!” is what flew out of my mouth when Ranti first released this knitting pattern, because WHAT!!!
This design is giving such cool girl and I think and know I am in love (*swoons over a knitting pattern like a weirdo*).
I always see such cool knitting designs, but because I have self-drafted nearly 98% of the things I knit, I always have a hard time shifting my focus to using already existing or upcoming patterns. I also suck at gauge swatching, something I need to learn how to properly do…I also love that this is such a fun take on a ribbed top, and I can’t wait to make this one!
*starts researching yarn*The Genie Top is an elegant and sexy addition to your summer wardrobe. Next is the Genie Top by Milena Pauliina! I love the simplicity of this design, and it seems like it would be a quick-ish make, which also excites me!
I also think that keyholes are really cute and there are a few fun ways you can style this top. I haven’t put a ton of thought into the color I would want to make… maybe a brown? That’s a color I have on the brain a lot lately. It’s starting to play a similar interest that I have for black, which for me is saying a lot!
I also think this could be really cute as a mini dress if you extend the length, or styled with micro shorts.
Anyways! It’s cute, I wanna make it and I’m excited about it!The Twister Tank by juicylu.ce
The Twister Tank is a high-neck, sleeveless top with 3D cable knit columns that spiral around the body. It is worked bottom-up, first working the base of the tank in the round, then casting off at the armholes and working the front and back pieces flat. OKAY, SO COOL, AGAIN, WHAT!
I really hope you’re with me on this design and agree that it’s so cool!! [all good if your opinion differs though ;)]
What makes me most excited about this design is the texture. It’s insane! My brain is a little perplexed on how I would even knit this design… but that’s why there’s a pattern, right!
I just love how cool girl this design reads, and I’m super stoked about it.Camisole No. 4 by myfavoritethings.knitwear
Camisole No. 4 is a feminine summer top in a bohemian style.
I’ve seen the interest in this camisole over the years and I was always intrigued by it, but again, I usually self-draft, so I never really gave it much consideration until more recently.
This change has been spurred by my newfound interest in using knitting patterns. (How revolutionary, lol)
I love the simplicity of this top and that it can be easily styled. I also appreciate how it seems like a quick and easy project if you’re moderately experienced at knitting. The Lost Off Shoulder Top by friday.knits
The Lost Off Shoulder is a cute as summer top and perfect addition to your warm weather wardrobe. It has a stylish fitted look with stretch for a comfortable fit. Because of my interest in the raglan style and because I also love an off-the-shoulder moment, this top is a no-brainer interest for me!
I again love how it seems like it would be a quick-ish and easy make. And I again, can see it in a black and also a red/wine yarn.
I love the excitement that comes from imagining a project and what it will be like once you make it and can wear it.The "Caro top" is knitted from the top down. Start with the back piece, then the front piece with increases for the hole, followed by the rest of the body, small sleeves, and finally crochet two strings to make the bow detail. Speaking of EXCITEMENT. Again, as mentioned, I am a certified hoe for TIES, and not only does this top have a tie/bow, it also has a keyhole and cap sleeves!
I haven’t mentioned cap sleeves, but I love a cap sleeve!
Anyways, very very excited about this one :DPuff Puff Princess Blouse by parknknit
Time to play dress up in your own closet with this Puff Puff Princess Blouse! Knit from the top down with a square neckline and exaggerated puff sleeves, this top is perfect for adding regality and frills to your everyday life. The super bulky yarn not only knits up QUICK, but helps maintain the structure of the top. Ending on a HIGH NOTE!! Look at how fun and cute this blouse is! I love the playfulness of the chunky yarn and the super puffy sleeves. I can already see myself making one in black, LOL. I love black what can I say haha.
I’ve actually been thinking about this top for a while, so I really just need to take the plunge and make it!
I’m really just so excited about all of these patterns, and I wish there were like 10 of me so I could actively work on everything all at once, but alas (*very heavy sigh*). Maybe one day (Jk, I sincerely hope not lol, I am not interested in a Mickey 17 existence)!
Now let’s check out the crochet patterns ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
Crochet Patterns
The DUSK bag sits at the intersection of style, function, and sustainability. I LOVE A CUTE BAG! And this one is so chunky and cute! I love that it also has little ‘loose ends’ lol, as a feature. And I love that this bag is made using recycled yarn! I don’t have many crochet bags, because I always worry about structure, but I feel like this chunky t-shirt yarn would be quite structured… I hope that feeling is true lol.
I really appreciate the quiet-ish statement this bag makes. Like it’s there making a statement, but it’s really chill about it? It’s giving fun, care-free, and put-together, which I feel defines the me that I want to be LOL,Flower Vase Vest by Wool and Buggers
The Flower Vase Vest is an interactive crochet design that let's you create your own wearable bouquet. Swap flowers and vases anytime for a whole new look, meaning endless possibilities for new designs. SO COOL!! SO ART!!! SO FUN!
When I saw this vest my mouth was AGAPE and my lungs were full of GASP! Because I’m not sorry, WHAT!!!! This is literally so so cool!
I have been wanting to crochet flowers for the longest time, but now they would be part of a vase VEST?! So rad!I’m literally in awe of this pattern and am so excited to make one of my own. It’s so playful and fun, which I think is so necessary, given again, the state of the world… (*collective sigh*). You can dress this in so many ways, with a slip dress, with a pair of jeans and a tank top, with a pair of jeans and a puffy sleeved top. Options!! And if I’m anything, I am a girl who loves her options.
I’ve made this crochet raglan cardigan two times now and I am working on a third haha. Once as a crocheted/knitted mashup cardigan and another as a mega cropped cardigan to style with dresses and tops.
This tutorial is insanely easy to follow, and the outcome is so cute. I started working on one in gray today (07/07/25) because I love how easy this style is to make and how quickly it works up.
If you’ve never made a crochet raglan cardigan, now might be the time ₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎
I love the patterns that Erin puts out! She is such a thoughtful designer and the pieces she makes are always so fresh! I really enjoy the variety in stitches she designs with, because it takes a simple low-back boatneck top and makes it really interesting.
This seems like it would work up quickly and that it will be an easy summer top to wear. Especially if you also sew, you can style it with any of the bottom patterns above.
I think this is something I would wear with the Copenhagen Skirt, which I just bought and can’t wait to get cut out, or the Sourdough pants, which will be out soon!

When I first came across this top… I just realized FOUR years ago, wow it’s been a min… I fell in love with it!! I think the bust feature is so so cool and I really want to make this in a black yarn and possibly a wine yarn, to go with my wine colored boots.
There are two options for the bust, one is without the holes, but I honestly prefer this version.
I want to crochet pieces that feel both like clothing and art and this leans in both directions for me.

I just really enjoy the simplicity of this dress and that it’s a backless boat neck. I love a boat neck and I love a backless anything! And it’s crochet? Fun!
You know, as I write this, I’m really learning a lot about myself! Who would have thought? I hope you are gaining insight from this as well for yourself!
And this dress seems both easy to wear and easy to look good in! Which… mood.
The End… for now >:D
Thank you so much for reading and for making it this far! I hope you enjoyed the inspo and maybe learned a bit more about me and, ideally, more about yourself and what sort of silhouettes you lean toward when it comes to creating.
Being a crafty person is really such a gift, and I’m so thankful that I have the skill and passion to create with my hands.
See you in the next one! 🌷
I love this note. More, please.
Amazing inspiration, thank you! Love from another knitting- crochet- sewing-fan
